Summer blockbusters may be all about heroes and villains—but for those of us in property and facilities management, it’s the transit chaos and infrastructure mayhem that really grab our attention. Here’s our countdown of DC’s best transportation and infrastucture showdowns, with a nod to the helicopters, subways, ferries, and streets that steal scenes.


1️⃣0️⃣ Superman(1978)

🚁 Lois Lane’s helicopter falling off of the Daily Planet buiding kicks off the action, giving new meaning to “air support” in urban real estate. (Honorable mention to Superman Returns for Superman stopping a plane crash and rescuing Lois, as usual.

🚁 Batman lures Superman to Gotham for a long awaited battle.  The final battle caused epic destuction in Metropolis. How many times does this city get destroyed? How high are the insurance premiums on this planet?

The Joker’s sponsoring of Gotham’s bicentennial parade draws the public to their impending doom until Batman swoops in from the sky.
