We’re jumping the gun on our music series this week to help you rock the holiday weekend. We can’t have a series of “bird music” videos without choosing the most requested song in rock’n’roll: Free Bird. Our apologies to the turkeys that are anything but free this week.
If you remember, we noted in an earlier blog entry that “Free Bird” was even requested in the middle of the Pixar movie “Cars”.
Here’s Lynyrd Skynyrd’s FM-classic-rock-radio staple, appropriate this week given all the birds being eaten this Thanksgiving, and all the Thanksgiving-weekend countdowns on the radio of the best rock songs of all time. FYI, the song was #13 on NY’s classic rock station Q-104.3 2011 countdown.
