🚦 Introducing the BOMA-NY Transportation Report — First Edition! 🏙️
We’re excited to share the launch of a new resource created by property people, for property people: the BOMA-NY Codes & Regs Transportation Subcommittee Report — your monthly briefing (at least every month the committee holds meetings) on the transportation trends, city policies, and infrastructure updates that directly affect how New York City moves (and sometimes… stalls).
Why are we doing this? Because commercial property managers and building stakeholders need a clearer view of what’s coming down the street — literally. Whether it’s:
-
Construction embargoes that impact loading zones,
-
Congestion pricing policies that affect your tenants and vendors,
-
Transit changes and safety updates your building staff need to know,
-
Or e-bike fire risks and sidewalk clutter from those not-so-temporary dining sheds…
… we’re connecting the dots between city decisions and building operations.
This isn’t just MTA talk and toll news — it’s a boots-on-the-sidewalk perspective that helps our members plan better, respond faster, and stay ahead of the curve. (Or the detour.)
Thanks to the BOMA-NY Codes & Regs Committee for supporting this effort, and to all of you who share our love for cleaner curbs, faster freight, and fewer construction surprises.
Let us know what you’d like to see in future issues — and yes, there’s room for transit humor if you’re into that kind of thing.
See you in the fast lane (or at least the bike lane).
