A new Op-Ed in the New York Times is worth a read and sparks a debate. The author, a professor of pediatrics, points out the challenges of discovering Lyme, points out that there is a vaccine against Lyme disease, challenges the government’s advice on the best ways to avoid Lyme and tick bites, and encourages new research to create better vaccines against this growing problem.
