We’re moving on from children’s TV shows and fireflies this Insect Music Friday.

Bono became the coolest man on the planet (and we’re not sure he ever relinquished that title) when U2 released “Achtung Baby” and embarked on its subsequent Zoo TV tour. The album was a complete and surprisingly welcome departure from their mega-album “The Joshua Tree.”

Here’s “The Fly,” both the persona Bono adopted (a leather clad egomaniac  having Lou Reed’s glasses, Elvis Presley’s jacket, and Jim Morrison’s leather pants), and the first single from “Achtung Baby,” released 21 years ago today, October 12, 1991.  (Isn’t it about time we included U2 in this blog?)
