Roscoe is the star of a videogame for the iPhone, “Roscoe the Bed Bug Dog” in which the player has to seek out hidden bed bugs, then freeze them. Roscoe the bed bug sniffing dog is also featured in the smart phone application “Roscoe’s Tips” offering advice on how to inspect a hotel room and prevent exposure to bed bugs. The application is available for the iPhone, Blackberry, and Android phones as well as on web browsers and a downloadable travel card.
Roscoe has appeared in several television commercials for Bell Environmental bed bug control that run in the New York Metro Area. Roscoe, his handler, and his colleagues are frequently recognized and stopped on the streets of New York City. Roscoe’s face is proudly featured on Bell’s bed bug inspection vehicles; he has his own Facebook page, too!
Comedian Jerry Seinfeld also referenced our beagle Roscoe during a Mets game when he was in the broadcast booth.
