Again, bed bugs do not live on their hosts (see above). In very rare cases, we have seen many, many bed bugs crawling on a person – primarily on clothing with a concentration in pockets, cuffs, collars and seams, in wallets, inside a prosthetic leg, and yes, in rare cases, bed bugs crawling on hair. This scenario could only arise when the human host is immobile all of the time, unable to take care of routine personal hygiene, and unable to see or address a complete bed bug infestation. In these conditions, bed bugs inhabit all of the cracks and crevices and as they continue to multiply the populations are forced to live out in open areas in places where they are not normally found. Obviously, such scenarios require extremely thorough bed bug solutions.
